2 simple Ways to Clean Used Wax from Your Wax Melt Warmer.

1 - Using Cottonwool pads

This method is straightforward and is the one I use most.

Drop a few cotton pads into the top of your burner just after turning it off or blowing out the tealight. Three/ four usually is adequate to soak up most of the soy wax. You then remove those pads and use a final cotton pad to mop up any remaining residue.

The great thing about this method is that the cotton pads can be reused as firelighters. (and the best smelling firelighters)

2 - Using Kitchen Roll

This method works best when your soy wax melts are warm but not yet liquid. You can light your tealight or switch on your electric wax Melter and allow the wax to begin softening. Just as you start to see the liquid wax forming around the edge of the burner is the perfect time for using the kitchen roll.

Simply take your piece of kitchen roll and wipe out the wax. It should come away quickly. You can place it in the bin since our soy wax is biodegradable and non-toxic. Or you could also reuse this as a firelighter.

How Often Should I Clean My Wax Warmer?

How regularly you clean your wax melt warmer is entirely up to you. However, if you can, we recommend doing this every time you change your wax to ensure no residue from previous scented wax is left over. This way, not only will you get to enjoy the full fragrance of each scent and odd combination of two, but your Electric wax warmer should also last a bit longer if it’s appropriately looked after.

Here at Simply soaperior, we have an extensive range of unique wax melt warmers.
